Hi, y’all! I’m here to bring y’all products that I’m using FREQUENTLY this summer. It’s already heating up down in Texas and when it gets warmer I typically become a little less… high maintenance 😉 That’s probably because my makeup melts off and hair goes crazy as soon as I step outside to get covered in heat and humidity.
I’ve listed the products that I’m bringing into Summer 2021 below and easy links for shopping are at the bottom of this post! Everything from a wash to help with booty breakouts to my favorite facial spray to the makeup I’m using on the daily is listed. I also included my favorites for protecting my skin from the sun. Wearing sun protection is ALWAYS important but it’s especially important for anyone with tattoos. THE SUN IS NOT YOUR INK’S FRIEND! Trust me, I have a foot tattoo that has completely vanished thanks to it tanning with my skin.
If you have a holy grail, tell me in the comments section! I love trying new things 🙂
Complete List of My Favorite Summer Products
Dove Moisturizing Body Wash – just a good body wash that is moisturizing, dermatologist recommended and plant-based.
Billie Shaving Cream and Razors – I personally have the subscription for this razor and it’s great because I’m now MUCH BETTER about switching out my razors. Somehow it took me forever to realize that new razors mean less bumps. The shaving cream is another favorite of mine!
PanOxyl Acne Foaming Wash with Benzoyl Peroxide 10% – okay, okay, okay this is the last thing anyone wants to admit but BUTTNE IS REAL. Don’t worry though, this stuff helps 😉 The Benzoyl Peroxide acts as an antibacterial to kill that pesky stuff living on our gorgeous peaches.
Dr. Brandt PoreDermabrasion™ Pore Perfecting Exfoliator – I use this once a week while in the shower and it’s the best at refreshing my skin by scrubbing away the dead stuff.
Cruel Hydra Therapy Moisturizing Body Lotion – just a great body lotion. Thick but not oily and leaves skin perfectly moisturized.
La Roche Posay Toleriane Purifying Foaming Face Cleanser – I love how thick this gel cleanser is and how a little goes a long way. I always cleanse twice and this stuff does a great job at removing makeup. PLUS, IT’S LESS THAN $20!!
Fitish Tone Down Facial Spray – My mom introduced me to this stuff and I AM IN LOOOOVE! I personally use this facial spray day and night and I love how it makes my skin feel. The mix of CBD, aloe, peppermint and coffee both wake and soothe my skin.
LOLI Tea Seed Elixir Organic Balancing Face Oil – full disclosure, I received this product in a Fab Fit Fun box from Winter 2020 but I use it EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. This oil has tea seed oil that brightens and soothes skin without clogging pores. It’s made a big difference in adding plump to my skin and evening my skin tone. Something else that I learned as of today? It can be used on your skin, hair and lips!
Algenist Eye Cream – this eye cream moisturizes my crocodile under eyes and helps prep that area for makeup!
Fitish Dewey Moisturizer – another product my mom introduced 😀 This moisturizer is lightweight, leaves my skin dewey and is packed with nutrients. The CBD acts as anti-inflammatory, green tea is full of antioxidants, Sodium Hyaluronite helps restore the skin’s moisture and no fragrance keeps our skin’s best interest at heart.
Glycelene Lavender Beauty Ointment – I *randomly* found this balm while watching an IGTV by Hilary Duff in 2019 and have used it since! It’s organic and everything free – gluten free, cruelty free, petroleum free… all of it! It’s a moisturizing balm that I put on LAST and focus under my eyes and tops of my hands. It also has this AHHHHHMAZING lavender scent that I’m in love with it. Apparently it’s from France…
Hawaiian Tropic Mineral Sunscreen – a recent find that I’m throwing in my bag anywhere I go! Obviously, sunscreen in general is important so use whatever is most accessible for you!!
LIGHTWEIGHT MAKEUP ROUTINE
Elta MD Tinted Facial Sunscreen with SPF 46 – a newer product for me as of this year but I’m liking it a lot! I use this every day whether it’s on it’s own, topped with bronzer or topped with foundation and all the things. I know that wearing an SPF is ALWAYS important but the warmer months always make me hyper-aware of protecting my skin.
Charlotte Tilbury Priming and Setting Spray – I branched out from my Urban Decay Setting Spray, tried this and fell in love. It’s become my primer and setting spray. A WIN-WIN!
Ilia Skin Tint Serum with SPF 40 – this skin tint is lightweight with light coverage and has SPF 40. This stuff has ingredients that help even skin tone, soften fine lines and will leave you with a dewey finish.
NARS Illuminating Powder – a blush that will leave your cheeks with the prettiest freaking coral glow you’ve ever seen!
Revolution Bronzer – hellooooo affordable bronzer! This is great drugstore find that doesn’t make me orange, comes with a solid amount of product and stays put.
Charlotte Tilbury Pressed Powder – A little on the pricey side BUT it’s one of the best pressed powders I’ve used.
Charlotte Tilbury Liquid Highlighter – MY HOLY GRAIL HIGHLIGHTER! I have the color “Spotlight” but I’ve also heard great things about the others.
Marc Jacobs Long-Lasting Eyeliner – I’ve used this pencil eyeliner for a couple years and I love how it glides on. There are plenty of colors to choose from!
Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara – MY HOLY GRAIL MASCARA! It’s the best and I don’t have a single bad thing to say about it. I apply a layer, let that sit for a minute or two and add more from there. That helps build the mascara build onto the lashes to give volume and length!
HAIR CARE PRODUCTS
L’Oreal Ever Pure Purple Shampoo and Conditioner (Sulfate Free!) – save the money on a toner and get you some purple shampoo and conditioner. I personally love this stuff and the fact that I can get it from just about anywhere.
Olaplex No. 3 Hair Perfector – I use this once a week and here is how: I wet my hair in the sink, towel dry it, coat the at-home treatment on, leave it on for 10+ minutes and hop in the shower to rinse, shampoo and condition.
gisou Hair Oil – this hair oil contains honey to build stronger, smoother locks. I apply after I’ve towel dried my hair after washing.
gisou Heat Protectant – the smell of this heat protectant is AHHHMAZING! Plus, it does the job at protecting my hair before heat.
Waterless No Residue Dry Shampoo – okay, I found this stuff in Cosmo too and love that it’s lightweight. This dry shampoo adds just enough grit but doesn’t take over your hair with a white powder.
L’ange Marula Hair Hydrating Mist – I use this as a finishing mist after I’ve styled my hair. It leaves my hair with just enough shine, controls frizz and smells like I just walked out of a salon.
