Weekend in Horseshoe Bay ft. the Most Flattering Dress

Hi, y’all! Last weekend our family traveled to Horseshoe Bay (only about 3-3.5 hours from Houston) for a wedding but, honestly, it was more like a mini vacation for the guests. Bryan was pretty much MIA golfing most of the days but Emmett and I were able to soak up some sun by the pool and relaaaaaax. Well, I relaxed about as much as possible when you’re with a baby lol

Here’s more about where we stayed, what I wore and a few wedding pics!

WHERE WE STAYED

Let me start by saying that Horseshoe Bay and the surrounding area is BEAUTIFUL! As we were driving up, I couldn’t stop saying how gorgeous the area was. The resort itself is even more gorgeous with plenty of Instagrammable foliage 😉, friendly staff and activities within walking distance.

Since the wedding was being hosted at the resort, guests had a “temporary membership” and could access amenities like the pool, yacht club and restaurants. I could be wrong, but I don’t think we would’ve been able to access these without the wedding.

We stayed in a condo with two other couples and our nephew. It had what we needed with enough room for us to cook, for the kids to play and for us to get ready. The interior had a boho feel with farmhouse touches. You can check out the exact condo we stayed in here!

WHAT I WORE

After we drove in, we went to a get-together with family and friends to hang out at the bar. It was a casual event so I wore this adorable jumpsuit (on sale!) that I found at Target with a nude snakeskin tank and black sandals.

I wore a little Nordstrom number to the wedding and, honestly, this dress is turning into my favorite dress! It was a splurge at $88 so I fully intend on wearing it again and again 😉 It’s super flattering with the shirring, ruffle trim and blue floral print! I paired this with the same $30 black heels I wore to the rehearsal dinner.
