Hi! As you know, Emmett is officially ONE! I still can’t believe that a year has come and gone but here we are. I can’t begin to tell you how many times people told us “time will fly” when they saw us with our little baby and they certainly weren’t wrong. Another year of aging for me seems… insignificant in comparison to the year Emmett just grew through. She went from needing my hands for head support to sitting up to crawling to speaking jibberish and, finally, to walking. The leaps and bounds that she took are amazing to me and I’m pretty sure that watching it all unfold is my favorite part of being a mama.
Mandi with Mandi Thompson Photography was sweet enough to put together a styled shoot with Tiffany from Glamfetti to help us celebrate with a cake smash. It wasn’t much of a cake smash because our sweet little girl delicately picked at the cake instead of aggressively smashing it like every parent dreams.
Tiffany did such an amazing job with the balloon garland, which was unbelievably easy to set up. She also surprised us with a “one” sign, which I didn’t even know she made. As for the photos, I’m simply blown away. They’re amazing and ones that I’ll be looking back at for the next 50+ years God-willing.
